Welcome to Our School
Welcome to our U-GRO Learning Centre here in Harrisburg, PA! My name is Laurien Smith and I'm the center director. I have 11 years of experience in the field, as well as a bachelor's degree in mass communication and a master's degree in elementary education.
A part of the Harrisburg community since 2005, our modern center is based on a two-acre campus at the TecPort Business Center. Located off the Eisenhower Interchange at I-83, our Harrisburg East location conveniently serves our surrounding community and commuters.
We provide a clean and safe environment where Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, as well as School-Age children are comfortable learning and playing throughout the day. Our talented staff members take part in trainings throughout the year to stay current in the field of early education.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications; Master's Degree in Elementary Education with Focus in ESL
I joined the U-GRO family in 2019 and have over 11 years of experience in the field. I love to watch the children light up when they are excited about something, the growth that you see on a daily basis, as well as the unconditional love that they have for the teachers and friends!

I have joined the U-gro family in 2013 and have been in the field for over 18 years. I love watching the children that walk through the door grow and develop such important skills. Seeing their excitement everyday as they learn and explore brings so much meaning to my day.
