Serving Up New Recipes and Cozy Favorites

2025 Fall-Winter Menu Revealed

With the shift of the seasons outside comes an exciting shift of flavors inside our school kitchens. It’s time for your child to embrace the tastes of our newest Fall-Winter Grow Fit® Menu. We’ve traded the light flavors of summer for the deep, rich notes of the harvest, incorporating popular seasonal vegetables such as squash and sweet potatoes.

What To Expect

We’re excited to introduce a few new recipes, including Hoppin’ John Beef Skillet, Creamy Cheeseburger & Rice Skillet, and Tuna Potato Bake. Hoppin’ John is a traditional southern low country dish that incorporates black eyed peas, which are indigenous to West Africa. Trying a variety of foods from all over the world can be a fun way to explore the globe through unique flavors without ever leaving the classroom. In addition, we’ve also made delicious updates to some cozy winter favorites, including Winter Baked BBQ Chicken and Beef Stroganoff.

As noted on the menu with our “Veggie-Forward” logo, you’ll also see we will continue to focus on veggie-packed options during lunch and snack time. It’s an important and intentional part of the nutritious options we provide! Helping children foster a love of vegetables at a young age will lay the foundation for an adventurous eater who loves a wide variety of nutrient-rich produce. Some of the children’s favorite veggie-forward entrees include Creamy White Beans, Black Bean Pasta Bake, and Beany Enchilada Casserole.

As the citrus season draws near, you’ll see more varieties of oranges on the menu, too! This will include clementines, mandarins, naval, and Valencia oranges. Not only do they taste like a burst of sunshine on a cold day, but they also give the kids a nice boost of vitamin C to help fight off seasonal cold and flu germs.

Want to see the whole menu? It’s likely posted at school for you to see during drop-off or pick-up. You can also ask your teacher or school leadership for a copy that you can put up on the fridge at home!
