Wondercamp: Growing Curiosity, Creativity, and Connection

The summer of 2025 marked our second season of Wondercamp—and what a great season it was! The seasonal experience invited children across the country to lean into their innate curiosity, imagination, and sense of play while exploring, creating, and connecting in and outside of the classroom.

The result was a summer overflowing with joyful memories!

This year, our community of schools built on the foundation we laid last summer, deepening the ways children engage with the world around them. Whether they were planting seeds in the garden, experimenting with new textures, or diving into open-ended artistic expression, children had countless opportunities to wonder, learn, and grow alongside their peers.

Summer care plays a vital role in helping children stay engaged, inspired, and curious when school isn’t in session. With thoughtfully planned weekly themes, hands-on projects, and opportunities for collaborative exploration, Wondercamp 2025 brought the magic of summer learning to life.

Our teachers and caregivers embraced each week’s theme with the same sense of wonder as the children to learn alongside them, model curiosity, and support discovery. Some of the meaningful experiences shared by educators allowed the children to:

EXPLORE

Over the summer, children continued to explore the world around them with a sense of anticipation and excitement. They took on new creative challenges, investigated the properties of everyday materials, and engaged with nature in deeper, more intentional ways. Through themed experiences like Wonders of Water and Wonders of Nature, children were encouraged to be inquisitive, expressive, and inventive.

DISCOVER

Each week, children activated their minds through hands-on learning and playful investigation. They collaborated with friends to construct, observe, and design, strengthening their critical thinking and communication skills. From exploring sound through homemade instruments to experimenting with movement and nature-based activities, Wondercamp provided meaningful opportunities to ask questions and seek answers through a lens of curiosity.

WONDER

At the heart of Wondercamp is our inquiry-based approach to learning, and this season brought even more opportunities for reflection and expression. Children engaged in observational drawing, recorded their thoughts and findings in creative ways, and used a wide variety of materials to express ideas and emotions. Each classroom became a vibrant hub of wonder and open-ended exploration.

As we reflect on the second season of Wondercamp, we are proud of how our educators and children embraced the spirit of exploration and imagination. It’s about more than just having fun! It’s about building confidence, strengthening relationships, and nurturing a lifelong love of learning.

We can’t wait to see how Wondercamp continues to grow next year. Enrollment for 2026 begins in January. Set a reminder now to save your child’s spot and get ready for another incredible summer.
