Starting at a new school is an exciting milestone, and at U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, we make the transition as welcoming and reassuring as possible. Our teachers help children become familiar with their classroom, daily schedule, and new surroundings through engaging activities and positive interactions. We encourage children to participate at their own pace, celebrate small milestones, and develop a sense of belonging as they settle into their new routine. Families are kept informed throughout the transition, helping everyone feel connected and confident during those important first days.
At U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, we support children's social-emotional development through meaningful interactions, collaborative play, and everyday learning experiences. Our teachers help children recognize and express their emotions, build friendships, practice sharing and cooperation, and navigate challenges with patience and understanding. Through positive guidance and age-appropriate activities, children develop confidence, empathy, independence, and the skills needed to build healthy relationships with others.
At U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, our teachers build strong, trusting relationships with children through consistent daily interactions, familiar routines, and individualized attention. By getting to know each child's personality, interests, and unique needs, teachers create a welcoming, supportive environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Regular communication with families helps strengthen these connections and provides consistency between home and school.
At U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, our Learn as We Grow approach helps children build the skills and confidence they need for a successful transition to kindergarten. Through intentional play, hands-on exploration, and personalized learning experiences, children develop early literacy, math, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills. Our teachers encourage curiosity, independence, and critical thinking while helping children build positive relationships and classroom routines. We also work closely with local school districts to support kindergarten readiness, helping children feel confident and prepared for their next educational milestone.
Children are released only to parents, guardians, or individuals listed on their authorized pickup list. Anyone other than a parent must be at least 18 years old. If someone not on the list needs to pick up your child, advance written authorization is required, and photo identification will be requested to verify their identity.
At U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, your child's safety is our top priority. We maintain emergency preparedness procedures for situations such as severe weather, fires, and other safety concerns. Designated safe areas and evacuation routes are posted in every classroom, and regular emergency drills help teachers and children practice safety procedures. In the event of an evacuation, families will be notified by phone as soon as possible and may be asked to pick up their child at a designated evacuation site.
At U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, we follow health and illness guidelines to maintain a safe, healthy learning environment for every child. Families should keep children home when they show signs of contagious illness or are unable to comfortably participate in daily activities. If a child becomes ill during the school day, they will be cared for separately, supervised by a staff member, and their family will be contacted for pickup. Children may return once they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours.
At U-GRO Messiah Lifeways, children are required to be up to date on their immunizations before enrollment, in accordance with applicable state requirements. Families must provide an immunization record verified by a healthcare professional that includes their child's vaccination history and dates. Updated records should be submitted as children receive additional vaccinations or booster shots.
