U-GRO Announces Transition of Masonic Village Childcare Center

U-GRO Learning Centres will assume operations of Masonic Village’s current childcare facility beginning in June 2018, expanding its partnership with Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. The current childcare center, which serves over 110 students, will remain in operation until transitioning to U-GRO’s brand-new facility, opening in Spring 2019. All current families of the Masonic Village center will be provided uninterrupted services during this transition time.

Masonic Village has been offering childcare on its campus since 1989, building the current center in 2001 to serve both Masonic Village employees and also the Elizabethtown area. The current center is owned by Masonic Village, but is operated by another childcare provider. At the close of 2017, U-GRO announced its partnership with the retirement community with plans to begin construction mid-2018 on a brand-new facility opening in Spring 2019 at the Shrine Road entrance to campus.

“We are honored to have been chosen as Masonic Village’s partner and look forward to welcoming its current families to the U-GRO family this June,” said Greg Holsinger, President & CEO. “We are thrilled to be joining the Elizabethtown community and appreciate the opportunity to serve even more families at our new center.”

Assuming operations in June, U-GRO will offer its summer camp program, Summer Safari, for children up through fifth grade at the Masonic Village location and plans to continue the existing full-day private kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year.

U-GRO will honor the current center’s wait list and will notify families with opportunities for enrollment as they become available. For new families interested in learning more about enrollment at U-GRO Masonic Village when it is available, please email MVinfo@u-gro.com.
