5 Easy Ways to Celebrate Your Teacher

Each spring, we celebrate our phenomenal teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week. At U-GRO, one way we say thank you to our teachers is by providing a space at each of our 12 centers where parents can write a note to their teachers, helping to make them feel special for the love and learning they give to our students.

Sometimes parents like to give their teachers a little something extra to say thank you. With busy schedules, it can be hard to find the time to create or shop for a gift. Here are five easy and inexpensive ways to celebrate your child’s teacher this year during Teacher Appreciation Week or any other day of the year.

1. Write a Card

As simple as it sounds, sometimes a hand-written note is the most meaningful way to show your appreciation. Pick up a card over your lunch break or have your child decorate a piece of paper and add a personalized note to it.

2. Involve Your Child

Toddlers and preschoolers can help color and complete these personalized printables to let their teachers know how special they are.

3. Perk Up Their Morning

Teachers tend to have early starts to their days and love a good cup of coffee to get them going. Say thanks by purchasing a gift card to your local coffee shop or by buying an iced latte or coffee and attach this Thanks a Latte tag. Try to avoid bringing in a hot beverage as many teachers may not be permitted to have it in their classroom.

4. Brighten Their Day

Day after day, teachers pour themselves into the growth and care of their students. Return the favor with this Thank You for Helping Me Grow tag along with a single flower, a bouquet or a pre-potted planter from your local grocery store or florist.

5. Help Pamper Them

Like most working professionals, teachers expend lots of energy every day and can need to relax and recharge over a weekend. Buy a gift card to a local nail salon or simply pick up a bottle of nail polish and add this Toe-Tally Awesome thank you tag.

As a reminder, most schools including all U-GRO locations are nut-free environments, so steer clear of gifts with peanuts, almonds or other nut-based products. We look forward to celebrating all teachers with you during Teacher Appreciation Week!
