A Quick and Healthy Soup Recipe for Your Children

Here’s a quick turkey noodle soup recipe they’ll love to help you make and eat!


  • 1 cup of sliced carrots
  • 3/4 cup of chopped onion
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 cup of sliced celery
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 6 cups of low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 cups, about 3 ounces, of uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon of low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups, about 8 ounces, of shredded turkey

Saute the carrots, onion and garlic in a large sauce pan at medium-high heat for about five minutes, or until the onion is slightly browned. Then add the celery, salt and pepper and continue for another three minutes. Next, add the broth, egg noodles, soy sauce and bay leaf. Once the broth is at a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for five minutes. Finally, add the turkey and cook for another three minutes. Let it cool for as long as desired and remove the bay leaf before serving.
